Dennis, I feel that it is just as likely that W.S. made use of eg Arden of Faversham and gave it new life and direction with his own poetry and theatrical knowledge. Do you rule that out?

Do you still believe that W.S. came by North's work via a purchase? His access to the material is a bit of a puzzle .
